HnK's BREAKFAST BUZZ
Blunt, getting help from local urban community?
We are told Roy Blunt has worked hard to gain support from some leaders in the Afro-American Kansas City community, especially from members of Robin Carnahan opposition to earmarks, which are used to help projects in the city concerned.
And we said that the work will bear fruit or is that with endorsements from some members of the community, including the us has said Rev. Modest Miles.
He could not be reached for comment Friday.Funke has better quarter
Mark Funke's $ 24,000 fundraising quarter, he proposes has a pulse, although he starts his re-election campaign far behind several challengers in fundraising. (Some of these challengers are really start to complain about the use of radio resources for urban semi-political events such as calls and community meetings. But we digress.)
Where's the money come from? Electric companies and entrepreneurs gave $ 6,000, the Heavy Constructors, $ 750 And Herbert Kohn was $ 250.
So there is. Lawyers are giving a little of Sly James and Mike Burke, engineers at Jim Rowland, Deb Hermann gets everyone else.Ad Men
Much of the crowd Friday about and what not pull ads in several races. In general: Party committees appear to better assess on both sides to break the state and spend in other races before deciding whether and when to resume here.
This is not unusual. But here also suggests races are on the margin of error either way.Mel Carnahan
The former governor plane crashed ten years ago Saturday, killing Carnahan, Chris Siffert, and Randy Carnahan.
The families are planning private memories.

Light at Night Linked to weight gain in mice
A permanent exhibition in the night can be an increased risk for weight gain light to study for a new animal.
Ohio State University researchers found that mice exposed to dim light at night for eight weeks, about 50 percent gained weight than mice that were kept on a standard light-dark cycle.Click here to learn more!
"Although there were no differences in activity and daily consumption of food, the mice that lived with light at night, were always thicker than the others," lead author Laura Fonken, a doctoral student in neuroscience, said in a press release by the University .
The mice exposed to eat light at night no more than other mice. But compared to mice on a standard light-dark cycle, they ate significantly more food during the day if they do not eat normally after Fonken and her colleagues at OSU and the University of Haifa in Israel.
"Something about light at night, the mice in our study do want to eat at the wrong time to properly metabolize their food was," study co-author Randy Nelson, an OSU professor of neuroscience and psychology, said in the press release.
The researchers placed a third group of mice, constant light at night, and the group also gained more weight than mice on a standard light-dark cycle. But the dim light was comparable with more lights that people use at night, she noted.
Light at night could levels of the hormone melatonin (which is involved in metabolism) and the expression of genes that help to disrupt the clock when to feed animals and when they are active, the researchers said.
Many experiments on animals do not pan in humans. However, if the results are confirmed in humans, it would suggest that to eat late at night, a specific risk factor for obesity, "said Nelson.
The study suggests that people eat, usually at night while watching TV or work on the computer, the risk of weight gain for reasons other than sitting, he added.
The study appears online 11th October in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

2010 Florida vs LSU Recap
I hope everyone is having a good NFL Sunday. So do not for all of you college football fans out there, it was great to see Alabama AOT fall fighting cocks? I don, AOT about you, but I find it exciting when a top 5 team loses. For all of you that don know AOT. I, AOM a Gators football fan. I was between the Yankees against the Twins Game Switching and the Florida Gators, LSU Tigers against AOS. But once the Yankees were up 5-0 after 4 Inning, I knew the twins would be swept back and the Yankees would move the ALCS. So for the rest of the night I watched the Gator, AOS play.
The matchup between the SEC conference rivalry between Florida and LSU are usually very good games, especially last year, AOS game at LSU, when Tim Tebow led to # 1 # 4 Gators beat LSU 13-3. So here we are in the 2010 NCAA Football season and both teams are not in the top 5, but still equally. The # 14 Ranked Gators, was to lose from an embarrassing to Alabama, set to play on the # 12 LSU Tigers in the Swamp. This game has not disappointed me and it went down to the last wire.
I have to give credit to LSU coach Les Miles is playing for his daring. The last few times were unforgettable, Josh Jasper, the kicker is lined for the 52-yard field goal, in this moment only one in the sense that a forgery had arrived, even though they only needed a field goal to tie the game. Was Florida ready? It really did not seem to be. grabbed the ball as Derek Helton, the owner, took one look no pitch over the head, which bounced off the grass and drew from Jasper down to the first. At that moment my stomach dropped. The play was being reviewed to determine whether a forward pass, which had hoped to be many fans gator. My friend Marsid was at the game when he texted me to confirm the response shown on television, in fact, a forward pass, but I had to break it to him that the game was 100% legal. Marsid would text me back for the answer to the Tolliver touchdown catch by Lee, who make permanent a dagger in the Gator, AOS heart with the final score of 33 to 29 It was caught, in fact, a hook, a very impressive one foot. This would be the time NFL rules the NCAA want to play. Gator as a fan I was discouraged but was very impressed and how exciting the game was. It's just to show you how exciting NCAA Football can. Respect to LSU, as they were bold and well opponents.

Behind Lee, Rangers Take Opener
11:40 pm Pregame
The Tampa Bay Rays Texas Rangers and run from this year, the Major League Baseball playoffs this afternoon, as both teams look to make history. The beams make only their second appearance after their worst season unlikely to first season in 2008. Meanwhile, the Rangers have never won a playoff series in their history.
Game 1 features the best of the four series' pitching match-ups. Rangers starter Cliff Lee led the majors in pitching wins above replacement, while price blinded by traditional metrics, go 19-6 with a 2.72 ERA. As a result, both teams start some deeply flawed hitter who still have some success against left-handers. Rocco Baldelli, the unique view superstar who washed out of baseball because of health problems is an eye sixth and Dhing for the rays. Jeff Francoeur, the man is, the next Braves large home grown star, but turned into a sieve OBP and the subject of Internet should be plenty of snark, bats seventh for the Rangers.
In what is likely to be a low scoring game, individual matchups and situational play the difference may have to be. The beams will be looking to get their vaunted running game in gear, provided they can cobble together a couple of base runners. Meanwhile, the Rangers will benefit from a mostly right-handed team, their only left-handed hitter of note is MVP runner Josh Hamilton. Do not look for a clear edge when the game is a battle of bullpen, either. Both the beams and Rangers among the top five in MLB with advanced metrics.

Ryder Cup 2010: Celtic Manor wets the appetite
But on day one in Newport, the 2010 Ryder Cup players experienced the real Welsh welcome - torrential rain and swirling wind. The Celtic Manor's multi-million pound drainage system initially coped as the projected downpours lashed this part of south-east Wales but two hours after American Dustin Johnson hit the first ball of the 38th Ryder Cup, play was suspended at 0945 BST because of a waterlogged course.
The relentless deluge, wind and a sodden fairways could no longer take the battering from mother nature as golfing became a lottery rather a game of skill, endeavour and course-management.
Europe star Luke Donald admitted the "heavy spell of rain" was "too much" for the course as balls landing in standing water had nowhere to be dropped.
Now Wales' first Ryder Cup may be remembered for all the wrong reasons as it could be the first match in the tournament's 83-year history to need an extra day due to bad weather- that is if there is not enough spare time before the singles matches on Sunday morning.
BBC Wales weather presenter Behnaz Akhgar said: "The heavy rain is due to ease off after 1400 BST and there is to be light rain until the end of the afternoon where it will clear up altogether.
"There are drier, clearer conditions overnight and the wind will ease but there may be an issue with fog lingering over the course until 0900 BST on Saturday. But after that bright and breezy conditions are expected which might help dry the course.
"However, we are likely to be back to square one on Sunday as it will be a similar story to today as rain is forecast early on and is unlikely to clear until Monday morning."
So play here on Monday seems more than a distinct possibility and bookies have started taking bets that America and Europe will be still be here battling it out on a fourth day.
Europe led 3-1 in the morning fourballs as the hooter to postpone play reverberated around the Usk Valley - and the weather affected play so badly, that the first group had only managed to reach the sixth when the contest was halted after two hours.
This marks the first suspension of play in The Ryder Cup since 1997 at Valderrama but Wales Opens played here have suffered the full force of the elements, albeit earlier in the year, but no-one can say they were not warned.
Europe's 2008 skipper Nick Faldo's words now seem prophetic when he famously reminded everyone to "bring your waterproofs" for Wales' big weekend after his side had lost in Valhalla in arguably his best captaincy call all week.
And American captain Corey Pavin had previously suffered monsoon-like conditions when he made his Wales Open debut in 2009 - suffering a six-and-a-half hour break in play - when he wondered: "Well, if this is summer then what will the Welsh weather be like in the first week of October?"
It is just a shame that the initial scheduled date of last weekend for this Ryder Cup was not kept as, believe it or not, the sun had his hat on in Wales seven days ago.
But the date was changed at the request of the US PGA Tour to accommodate their showpiece Tour Championship FedEx Cup won by Jim Furyk in Atlanta.
The inclement weather was a chance, though, for Celtic Manor owner Sir Terry Matthews to show why he keeps telling everyone that the secret of a good golf course is "drainage, drainage and drainage".
The revamped Twenty Ten course in situated on an old Usk Valley flood plain but as Celtic Manor's director of golf courses Jim McKenzie told BBC Sport once: "The course was built up 0.9m higher than the highest ever recorded tide on the River Usk."The layout has undergone extensive and expensive drainage work which is supposed to soak up water and spit it into one of the Twenty Ten's six purpose-built lakes.
Now it is a chance for the Sir Terry to show how good his piece de resistance really is.
A further play update is expected at 1400 BST but the 45,000 golfing masses here are praying for the rain, rain to go away.
The Celtic Manor spent £150m building a resort fit to stage the Ryder Cup while the Welsh Assembly Government committed £27m to supporting infrastructure.
If only billionaire Sir Terry could have bought better weather. That would have been priceless.
